Costumes are a recent addition to Soul Seeker. Costumes may be bought under the Costumes tab for both 500 Gems and 40 Rubies combined each. Costumes give more than just a cosmetic change in appearance, however, and give the Hero wearing it extra effects such as increased stats. A costume is specific to a Hero, but all Heroes in that evolution line are able to equip it.

Upgrading

Costumes do not start off with their appropriate stat buffs and instead must be leveled up. This is accomplished by investing Upgrade Points into the costume. It takes 100 Upgrade Points per level and a Costume has 5 levels, taking a total of 500 Upgrade Points. On top of that, like with Upgrading a Hero, there is a cost of Gold, which is 500*(Next Level) Gold per Upgrade Point spent. Therefore it costs 750,000 Gold to fully upgrade a costume.

Upgrade Points have a maximum capacity of 10 and will recharge at a rate of 1 every 20 minutes, fully charging in 3 hours and 20 minutes. More can be purchased in sets of 100 for Gems, starting with sale prices of 100 Gems for the first set and 150 Gems for the second before settling on 200 Gems per pack. These sales reset once a new in-game day begins.

As a Costume is Upgraded, it gains buffs for the character wearing it, usually adding 1% to at least one or two stats per level, with level 5 granting the full buffs.
